Therapy & Supervision
A depth-oriented, faith-conscious approach to psychotherapy for Muslims, reverts, and sincere seekers.
A place where psyche meets spirit
I offer depth-oriented, Islamically grounded psychotherapy. Together, we explore the stories, wounds, and symbols woven into your inner life — not to pathologize, but to understand what the soul is asking you to notice.
Sessions are collaborative, spacious, and anchored in both psychological insight and spiritual presence. My aim is not only symptom relief, but a more integrated relationship with yourself, others, and Allah.
Areas of focus
- Anxiety, overwhelm, and burnout
- Identity and faith transitions (revert / convert journeys)
- Relationship and attachment patterns
- Men’s psychology, anima / nafs work
- Dreams, symbols, and imaginal material
- Shadow work and self-sabotage
- Spiritual bypassing and religious trauma
- Inner child work and developmental wounding
My approach
Depth-Oriented
Looking beneath surface symptoms into the deeper layers of psyche where meaning, pattern, and possibility live.
Islamic Psychology
Honoring the fitrah, the qalb, and the soul’s journey toward Allah, drawing on classical and contemporary Islamic perspectives.
Imaginal Work
Engaging dreams, symbols, synchronicities, and the imaginal realm as meaningful expressions from the soul.
Relational Presence
Grounding the work in a therapeutic relationship rooted in empathy, honesty, and a deep respect for your lived experience.
Who I work with
I work primarily with adults who value depth, presence, and spiritual alignment. You do not need to “have it all figured out” to begin. You simply need a genuine desire to understand yourself and a willingness to be honest about what is happening in your life.
FAQ – Insurance & Fees
Do you accept insurance?
I am considered an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, most clients with PPO plans are able to receive partial reimbursement. I provide monthly superbills and can help you understand how to submit them.
What is your session rate, and how do I pay?
My standard fee is $250 for a 50-minute session. A limited number of reduced-fee spots may be available on a sliding scale based on need. I accept credit cards and HSA/FSA cards through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You’ll be charged after each session automatically—no hassle or extra steps.
What are out-of-network (OON) benefits?
Many PPO insurance plans offer the option to see the therapist who best fits your needs, even if they aren't in-network. After paying for sessions, you may be reimbursed a percentage of the fee—often 60–80%—once your deductible has been met.
Do I have to pay the full fee upfront?
Yes. You pay at the time of service, and then you may be reimbursed by your insurance depending on your benefits. I’ll make sure you have everything you need to request reimbursement, especially if you’re doing it for the first time.
What if I’ve never submitted for reimbursement before?
You’re in good company—many people haven’t. I’ll provide detailed superbills and guidance. There are also simple apps like Reimbursify or Mentaya that make submission quick and easy.
Will therapy sessions count toward my deductible?
Typically, yes. Out-of-network psychotherapy is often applied to your OON deductible. Once that is met, insurance usually begins reimbursing a portion of each session.
Will I run out of benefits?
Most out-of-network benefits are based on your deductible and annual reimbursement cap, not a set number of sessions. Many clients receive reimbursement throughout the year.
Why don’t you accept insurance directly?
Working outside of insurance allows me to focus fully on your healing, not insurance restrictions or rushed care. It also protects your privacy and gives us the freedom to go at the pace your psyche truly needs.
Is it worth paying out-of-pocket?
That’s a thoughtful and personal question. Many of my patients do pay out-of-pocket. My work is depth-oriented, relational, and tailored specifically to who you are—often going beyond what insurance-based therapy models support. If you’re seeking meaningful, lasting transformation, this can be a powerful investment in your long-term well-being.
